More Spring Snapshots

Danielle Noether

On Sunday - hostas beginning to unroll their large green leaves in the sunshine

A two toned tulip... Isn't it sweet?

Our garden shed at a distance

Beautiful pastel petals of Phlox from Wednesday

One of the flowers carefully unfolding...

Forget-me-nots, so intricate in design

Forsythia showing it's beautiful green leaves. Not too many yellow flowers appeared on their branches this year. Maybe due to several nights of hard frosts?

Although we've (thankfully) had rather mild New York winter... It is always a very long, plant-less season. What a blessing to breath the scents and see the colors of nature all around our landscape.

A beautifully landscaped spot at our neighbor's... Can you see the flowering tree in the background? So lovely! :)

A blue jay watching a starling nearby...

Yesterday evening's moon behind a hickory tree just starting to green up.

Sun setting in the west...

Beautiful sunset from Wednesday night. The soft blue sky with gentle whisps of white clouds and yellow sunlight are so peaceful to look at. And so reassuring too.

1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hast bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God...

I'm so thankful God planned a way for us to be adopted as His children, since before we were born. He provided a way for us to be saved from our sins and reconciled to Him through Christ. He always knew we (who believe) would accept His truth by faith, believe His truth. We are so richly blessed in Christ, beyond what we could ever imagine.

Ephesians 1:3, 5, 6, 12 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ... Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved... That we should be to the praise of the glory of his grace, who first trusted in Christ.

God bless! Danielle

Evening Winter Sunset

As the sun set in the west yesterday evening, our sky filled with awe inspiring beauty. The weather changed so rapidly in a way we weren't expecting... Thankfully we were home to take it all in. What an amazing witness to God's power and design it was. He truly is the Great Architect of all creation.

Fluffy cumulus clouds in the distance to the east.

The sunset began with a glowing white and hues of yellow and purple...

A few minutes later the sky turned all golden...

A beautiful rainbow to the east! We were so surprised, we never heard it rain outdoors.

Our western sky changed so dramatically... The clouds became stormy and rusty colored where only minutes before bright yellow sunlight was filtering through the clouds.

Beautiful pink cloud formations behind a tall hickory tree... This one still bears the marks of the ice storm of 1991, when it must have been a very young tree.

The intense fury of pink, stormy clouds were carried away by the wind in time for us to see the peaceful calm of a quiet, gentle blue sky. What a way to end a rainy late winter day!

Close up of the moon... So far away yet from a camera lens it seems so near to us. And to think the God of all creation loves us and wants us to have a walk with Him, now and for all eternity through His Son Jesus Christ. What a wonderful Father we have! Did you ever stop to think how He created the moon to hang up there in the heavens just to light our nights and help us keep track of time? How loved and how blessed we are! :) I was just reading this in Genesis the other day and it all dawned on me...

And God said, let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth. Genesis 1:14-16

Thanks for stopping by... Have a great week and God bless! Danielle
